The plot takes place in 1939. Guido, an Italian of Jewish descent, live in Arezzo (Italy). Withthe fascists in power, Guido, his uncle and his son Joshua are deported to a Naziconcentration camp. There, in order to save the life of his five year old son, Guido invents agame where you win the one who manages to hide from the grumpy German guards. The imagination of the father that the little Joshua will live the Holocaust in a different way.

Guido: enamoradiso dreamer who wants to open a library in Tuscany (Italy).
Dora: It's a beautiful masterpiece of Guido eramonandose ending with whom he has a son.
Joshua, son of Guido and Dora is very bright and cheery.
Elisha Oreficce: the wise uncle Guido offered a home and work when it comes to Tuscany.
Ferruccio: Great friend of Guido with whoever comes to Tuscany.

It's a beautiful film which the parent makes the Nazi Holocaust is a game for hijo.El father tells his son that the only way to win the game is not to be seen from the grumpy German guards and so the days go earning points to win the ultimate prize: a tank, helping the child not to cause trauma for many was horrible.
